Prediction

Australia

They successfully made it to the semi-final in 2007, 2010, and 2012. The only time Australia managed to reach the finals was in the year 2010. However,  they didn’t have a great time.

The win percentage of the other teams compared to Australia is 55.17. Australia not entering the semi-finals wouldn’t be a surprise.

India

India won the first-ever T20 WorldCup in 2007 against Pakistan. India couldn’t make it through three semi-finals in the subsequent years. It finally made its way to the finals of 2014 but lost against Sri Lanka. When the T20 took place in 2016, India managed to pave its way to the semi-finals but couldn’t make it to the finals as West Indies defeated them by seven wickets.

Also, India is ranked second with a rating of 266 in T20I rankings. With their winning percentage being 64.06 in more than one tournament.

England

England won its first-ever T20 WorldCup in the year 2010 against Australia. 2012 and 2014 proved unsuccessful to the England team as they couldn’t make it to the semi-final.

However, things took a new turn in 2016, where England could win the cup again, but they failed to defeat the Caribbean team and ended up as runners-up. They have a winning percentage of 48.38 out of the six tournaments.

New Zealand

Their winning percentage is 53.33, which is the best out of all the teams that have played all six tournaments. They made it to the semi-finals in the years 2007 and 2016. They had performed marvelously in 2016 but couldn’t make it to the finals as England knocked them out.

West Indies

There are high chances that this team would make it to the semi-final, having already won two T20 World Cups.

South Africa

They managed to enter the semi-final in 2009 & 2014. But have been unsuccessful in winning the trophy.

Pakistan

They won the T20 World Cup in the year 2010 by defeating Sri Lanka. They qualified as semi-finalists in 2010, 2012, and 2007. They were the runners-up in 2007.

Sri Lanka

Victory knocked on the door of Sri Lanka in 2014 when they won their T20 World Cup against India. They were the runners-up in 2009 and 2012. They couldn’t make it to the finals in 2010.
